A sailing experience that goes far beyond a vacation. WayMaker Voyages combines breathtaking island exploration with intentional moments designed to strengthen relationship, reveal purpose, and create stories your group will talk about for years.
We pave the path for seamless journeys.
The Carribean provides the perfect backdrop for challenge, play, reflection, and growth. When people step away from routines and into awe-inspiring environments, walls come down, conversations open up, and hearts become transformed.
Every activity, meal, sail, and conversation throughout your voyage is intentionally designed to spark clarity and deepen connection. As the week unfolds, families naturally reconnect with what matters most, leaders rediscover vision and calling, fathers and sons step into shared moments that become lifelong anchors, and teams learn to communicate, collaborate, and celebrate one another’s strengths. Purpose reveals itself not in stillness, but in the movement, adventure, and meaningful shared experiences that shape each day on the water.
All you need to do is share your group’s goals, and we take care of the rest. Your voyage is crafted from start to finish—boats, captains, meals, activities, assessments, and guided moments are all thoughtfully arranged with your purpose in mind. When you arrive, everything is ready. You breathe. You settle in. And the journey begins exactly as it should: with nothing left for you to manage except being present for the experience ahead.
Every week is customized based on the group, their goals, and weather, but here’s a snapshot of what a family sailing adventure/treasure hunt can look like.
Your family boards the yacht, meets the captain, chef, and WayMaker leader, and settles into life on the water. After a brief sailing introduction and a sunset dinner, the Treasure Hunt begins with your first sealed clue. It hints that the greatest discoveries come when you’re willing to journey together. With excitement growing and the islands around you glowing in the evening light, your family drifts off knowing a shared adventure is waiting.
You start the day learning sailing basics before navigating to The Baths, a maze of giant boulders, hidden pools, and sunlit passages. The next clue is tucked somewhere among the caves, requiring curiosity, teamwork, and a little courage. Snorkeling reveals brilliant underwater life that amazes both kids and adults. As the day winds down, your leader helps your family reflect on how God often places treasure in unexpected places — and how discovering it draws you closer together.
Today’s open-water sail offers time to grow your sailing skills — steering, trimming sails, reading the ocean. The rhythmic movement of the boat becomes a reminder of God’s steady guidance. Your next clue is revealed only after completing small sailing challenges, underscoring how each person contributes to the journey. Arriving in Anegada feels like reaching the edge of the world. Your evening clue, discovered around a beach fire, sets the stage for deeper adventure ahead.
The day’s clue leads you to an underwater discovery, where snorkeling among coral and colorful fish reveals part of the puzzle. Your family works together to follow compass bearings and underwater markers that unlock the next step. The beauty below the surface reinforces a powerful truth: there is always more to people — and God’s creation — than what we see at first glance. You end the day with growing confidence in your teamwork and purpose.
A short, peaceful sail brings you to the breathtaking island of Sandy Cay. Today’s riddle emphasizes listening and reflection, encouraging your family to slow down and enjoy unhurried time together — floating, walking the beach, or simply resting in the sun. Meaningful conversations happen naturally in this relaxed space. By afternoon, the message becomes clear: deeper connection grows when life is unhurried, and the treasure you seek is found not just in adventure, but in stillness too.
The final day’s challenge takes place under sail as your family operates the yacht together — plotting a course, adjusting sails, calling out instructions, and working as a cohesive crew. Completing the task leads you to a hidden shore marker where the treasure chest awaits. Inside is a mirror, a scripture, and a message revealing the true meaning of the week: you are the treasure — uniquely created, deeply valued, and placed in this family with purpose. It is a moment no one forgets.
The final morning is a celebration sail, filled with laughter and stories from the week. You return to harbor changed — more connected, more grateful, and carrying memories that will stay with your family for years. The treasure you discovered becomes a touchstone, a reminder of identity, purpose, and the unshakeable bond you share. It is more than a vacation. It is a legacy your family will keep returning to long after the voyage ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
We generally recommend voyages for children ages 8 and up, as this is when they’re typically ready to engage fully in the family activities, treasure hunts, snorkeling, and sailing experiences. That said, every family is unique — we’ve had younger children join us, and we’re happy to work with you to design a purposeful, age-appropriate adventure that fits your family’s needs. For father–son or mother–daughter journeys, we’ve found the ideal age range to be 11–18. These trips are especially meaningful when a church group, circle of friends, or group of parents brings children of similar ages to share the experience together. When kids journey alongside peers, the connection, confidence, and growth they experience are incredibly powerful. No matter the ages, our goal is to create an intentional, safe, and unforgettable voyage where every child feels valued — and every parent feels proud of the memories they’re building.
No sailing experience is required. Our professional skippers take care of all the navigation and boat handling, so you can simply relax and enjoy the journey. For anyone who wants to learn, they love teaching — from the basics of steering and trimming sails to understanding how the wind moves the boat. You can participate as much or as little as you’d like.
We follow Jesus Christ, and our voyages are shaped by that foundation. At the same time, we thoughtfully tailor each trip to the comfort level and preferences of our guests. Our approach is subtle, meaningful, and rooted in experiencing God’s creation in a natural, authentic way. It’s common for a voyage to include a short daily scripture that relates to the day’s adventure, a prayer shared around the dinner table, worship music playing softly in the background, or guided conversations that open the door to deeper understanding. Nothing is forced, but the opportunity for spiritual growth is always present. Most guests tell us they appreciate how faith is woven into the journey — gently, intentionally, and in a way that brings families closer to God and to one another.
The BVI are known for their calm, protected waters and short sailing hops between islands, which greatly reduces the chance of seasickness. Still, we recommend bringing whatever motion-sickness remedies work best for you, and we’ll walk you through simple tips and best practices to prevent discomfort before we ever leave the dock. Weather is always part of the adventure, but your safety and comfort are our top priorities. While we plan each day intentionally, we always have backup routes and options if conditions change. Our goal is to keep everyone feeling relaxed, cared for, and able to fully enjoy the experience.
To secure your WayMaker Voyage, a deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit reserves your yacht and holds your week on the WayMaker calendar. Because yachts book far in advance, this payment is necessary to guarantee your dates. The remaining balance is due several months before your departure, following the same schedule used by most yacht charter companies. We will provide reminders so you always know exactly when payments are due. Refunds follow standard charter-yacht terms: as your trip date approaches, payments become less refundable because yachts are reserved exclusively for your group and are difficult to rebook on short notice. If travel plans change, we will do everything we can to help you reschedule your voyage or explore alternative options when available. Before you make any payment, we will walk you through the full timeline, cost structure, and refund windows so your family has complete clarity and confidence in the process. Our goal is simple: to make planning your adventure as smooth, transparent, and stress-free as possible.
